The University of Reading has been at the forefront of UK higher education for nearly a century. The University of Reading was founded in 1892 and received its Royal Charter in 1926. The main campus, Whiteknights, is situated close to Reading town centre and hosts more than 23,000 students from over 160 different countries.
The University of Reading has been in the top 20% of world institutions for ten years (QS World University Rankings 2015 - 2024). They offer a wide range of programmes from the pure and applied sciences to languages, humanities, social sciences, business and arts
