28 January 2019
The University of Essex was named the 2018 Times Higher Education ‘University of the Year’ at a ceremony held in central London late last year and you can meet them at the forthcoming UK University Fair by registering for free entry today.
The University was praised by judges for “putting people first” as it eliminated the gender pay gap for professional staff, as well as moving teaching assistants on to staff contracts, ensuring all staff are paid Living Wage Foundation’s living wage.
The award caps a fantastic year for Essex, who also maintained their position as a top 30 UK university in the The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide, as well as being one of only a handful of 'dual intensive' universities, meaning they are ranked as a UK leader in research quality (Research Excellence Framework) and quality of teaching (Teaching Excellence Framework).
The UK University Fair provides a unique opportunity for international students to gain information on studying in the UK directly from the universities themselves, in person! Do not miss out on meeting Essex and 100 other higher education institutes in the UK by registering for free entry today.
