Abertay University is perhaps best known for its strong focus on computer games and art design. It is the only UK university with official accreditation in both these fields, and has a partnership with Peking University in China for games. The University is also academically strong in the areas of IT, as well as business, economics and biotechnology.
Abertay is a campus University based in Dundee in eastern Scotland with over 4,000 students enrolled. Many of the courses and buildings are modern, with a high-tech approach to learning common throughout the five schools and one institute which act as departments and faculties for the University. It also features numerous specialist departments in areas such as wood technology, urban water systems and bioinformatics. Abertay University has built up many strong industrial links with companies such as Sony, Microsoft, Rare and Codemasters.
Aberystwyth University was founded in 1872 and was the first university in Wales. Aberystwyth University is the only university in the UK to offer every student a year’s work placement as part of their degree, leading to a better than average employability level, and there are currently 9,500 students enrolled.
Aberystwyth has one of the largest graduate schools for international relations in the world, with over 150 Master’s and PhD students enrolled. The Institute of Biological, Environmental and Rural Sciences, which is shared with Bangor University, is a world class research and education centre researching issues including sustainable land use, climate change and the security of food and water supplies. It is also home to one of the five UK copyright libraries, the National Library of Wales, and has the largest Arts Centre in Wales.

Aston University is lively, welcoming and cosmopolitan campus based university situated in the centre of Birmingham, the second largest city in the UK. The University Foundation Programme has come to be established as one of the oldest and most well respected foundation courses in the UK, providing an entry level qualification for undergraduate study accepted by over 95 UK universities. The course is designed for international students who have completed high school and acts a bridging and entry level course for those who wish to go on to undergraduate study at a UK university.
Unlike the two year A-Level course, the UFP is completed over one year and currently has two intakes: September – June or January – August of the same year. Both intakes however allow the student to apply to start university the following academic year. Over the last two years alone, alumni students have progressed on to studying a wide variety of competitive courses at universities such as Bristol, Manchester, LSE, SOAS, Imperial College London, University College London, City, Queen Mary and King’s College London.
Bath Spa University focuses primarily on arts and humanities subjects and was founded in its most original form in 1852 before officially becoming a university in 2005. Bath Spa has several campuses in and around the city, with the main centre being Newton Park, completed in 2014, which features some of the best digital media related teaching facilities in the UK.

The University of Bedfordshire is based in both Luton and Bedford, two large towns north of London. Brunel University London is located in Uxbridge, north-west London, and is one of the UK’s most ambitious, forward-looking universities, with a strong focus on employability after graduation. 1 + 2 Foundation and Undergraduate Degree Pathway
The University of Buckingham offers a unique ‘1+2’ option (a foundation programme and undergraduate degree with honours in just three years). This is made possible due to Buckingham’s innovative term structure, but does not lead to an increased workload for its students on a day-to-day basis.
Foundation pathways are available in Business, Law, Computing, Economics, Accounting and Finance and Journalism.

The University of Sunderland was founded in 1901 as Sunderland Technical College, and was awarded university status in 1992. It has four campuses: two in Sunderland on the northeast coast of England, one in London, which is used for teaching business, tourism and nursing degrees, and a new development in Hong Kong. In 2018, the University was named as one of only five new medical schools in the UK, established to address the regional imbalance of medical education places across England and to widen access to the medical profession. Swansea University is based in Ssouth Wales and currently has around 20,000 students enrolled across two campuses. The Singleton Park campus was established in 1920 and is home to the Swansea University Medical School, College of Human and Health Sciences, College or Arts and Humanities, and the Hillary Rodham Clinton School of Law. Students participate in the making of six compulsory films over two years, five structured exercises and one graduation project, all at an industrial level. Films are made on built sets, shot on professional level cameras, recorded on Nagra V, edited on Avid Composer and given a professional dub in Soho.

Based on the University of Worcester campus, the University of Worcester International College (UWIC) provides first year, university foundation and pre-masters pathway programmes for international students who want to study an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in the UK but are not currently eligible for direct entry.
Students are able to choose from a number of different pathway courses, depending on the subject area and level of course required, and become university students with access to all campus facilities from their first day of study.
